Lets get rid of Congressmen and Senators all together. We don't need them. We may have needed them back in 1776, 1876 or even 1976. We may have needed them to go to Washington and be our voice, because logistically, we couldn't all jump on a bus and go to Washington ourselves. But, times have changed. This is the 21st century. We are in the age of the computer. The internet. The information highway. Are you telling me they can't come up with a system where we can vote on the computer, via our social security numbers? Of course they can! They don't because that would render them obsolete. That would dry up the cash cow of corruption they have worked so hard to put in place. The reason we don't have a democracy in this country. The reason the people don't have a true say in what happens. Is because if we did these politicians would not be able to profit off of us, to the tune of billions of dollars, like they do now. Public office should be a sacrifice. Not a honor. People should go into it with the intention of making this country a better place. With the intention of making peoples lives better. They shouldn't be in it to make a profit. To gain power. Thats not what our forefathers had in mind. Congressman and Senators should make modest salaries and be loyal to the people. Not astronomical salaries (donations, kick-backs, etc.) and be loyal to lobbyists and big business. Promises, Promises...
Just some of what "That One" has promised:
- "give a tax break to 95 percent of Americans who work every day and get taxes taken out of their paycheck every week";

I'm no big fan of Bush....
...but he's been in office for 7 1/2 years, and for the first 6 the economy was o.k.
In 2006 Americans who desired "change" voted in a Democrapic Congress... and change we got!
Consumer confidence and home equity began to plumet as Gas prices and unemployment rates soared.
Good job congress!
Now some asshole (Democrat, no less) is running for prez on a platform of "Change".
It's scarier than the average Halloween SPOOK Tale.

The PC police seem to be batting for Obama.You can't mention his ears(he does look like Dumbo), you can't say his middle name(Hussein), you can't mention his past or his associations, 'community organizer'=black(what a crock o' shit), and now if you draw attention to his socialist(=black?) policies you are(is) a racist.
He plans to win as he did in Chicago, by eliminating the opposition.
Before he removed challengers from the ballot so as to run unopposed.
Now he is removing (trying, anyway) any question of his competency by limiting what can be asked or said.
